Crypto scam check tools: self-check, domain checker, return calculator, safety checklist

The four tools below open and run without a login. What you type and the boxes you tick are handled in your own browser and are not uploaded.

Not sure about a situation

Scam self-check

Seven yes/no questions about what the other side is doing: whether they contacted you first, are rushing you, want money, or want a verification code. The page explains what counts as a “yes” for each question, and the result gives next steps for the signals you hit.

You have a web address

Domain checker

Paste the address in and it is compared character by character with the official domains of the five exchanges built into the tool. There are three possible results: exact match, close but not identical, or not on the list.

Someone promises a few percent a day

Compound return calculator

Enter the promised daily, weekly or monthly return and it works out the balance after one year, the annual rate, and how long the money would take to double.

New to exchanges and wallets

Safety checklist

Tick off three groups of settings: account security, sites and downloads, funds and wallets. Progress is saved in this browser. The page also lists four things to check each time you deposit, withdraw or send coins.
